Mail Print Business-To-Business Marketing Campaigns Win Big At 2009 Fountain Awards

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 25, 2009) – Mail Print was awarded with four trophies at the Business Marketing Association of Kansas City’s 2009 Fountain Awards. Mail Print won the awards with a diverse collection of marketing techniques, including direct mail, email, Personalized URLs and websites.

The Fountain Awards recognize the best business-to-business marketing, advertising, PR and branding campaigns from regional companies and agencies. Mail Print’s entries were among 190 other submissions competing for Fountain Awards.

In addition to the strategy and design of the competing entries, real world results played a key role in determining the award winners. Listed below are Mail Print’s award-winning campaigns, as well as some of the results they achieved.
  • In the Direct Mail category: Holiday Campaign Benefiting Operation Breakthrough. This campaign, which directed recipients from mail and email touches to a Personalized URL (PURL) microsite, achieved a 22.3% response rate and generated a large number of donations for Operation Breakthrough, a not-for-profit organization.

  • In the Website category: EngagementSystems.com. The Engagement Systems website has achieved well-above-average metrics for website visitor behavior, including an average of 3.42 pages per visit (60% higher than comparable sites at 2.14), an average of 3 minutes and 15 seconds on the site (400% higher than comparable sites at 38 seconds), and an average of 8% of site visitors converting into leads.

  • In the Specialty Items/Gifts category: Personalized Desk Calendar. This multi-channel campaign generated a 15.9% response rate, as well as email click-through rates of 20% and 26%. Financially, the campaign contributed to the acquisition of 10 new clients worth more than $1.9 million.

  • In the Direct Mail category: Supernatural Results. This highly-personalized direct mail piece and integrated PURL contributed to the nurturing and acquisition of three new clients with an average value of $67,700.
